Product Care.

STORAGE ADVICE

You have the choice to refreeze our cakes upon delivery or to refrigerate them and use within 4 days of defrosting. 

Keep frozen below -18 degrees for up to six months. Ensure you label the day you freeze the goods so that you know when the time is up!

Once defrosted, keep covered and refrigerated below 5 degrees. 

Our cakes take less than 15 minutes to defrost, so you always have fresh cakes at your fingertips! 

CAKES IN TRANSIT

The insulated boxes that the cakes travel in have been designed to keep temperatures controlled for up to 24 hours. The products will arrive in such a condition that you can refreeze, refrigerate or consume. 

When delivery has been made you are responsible for the food product and we take no responsibility for the quality of the product if you choose to not store them in the conditions advised as stated below.

Our Packaging.

Having as little impact on the environment as possible is important to us at Green + Grainy and is why we choose to use 100% recyclable and biodegradable packaging. 

Our cake boxes have been bespoke made to fit each tray of cake, in a bid to minimise unnecessary packaging and avoid taking up too much space in your freezers! 

Each tray is wrapped in biodegradable paper, so there is no celophane wrapping in sight.

All the brown card, although still made from trees, is FSC approved, meaning they are made from 100% recycled card and promote responsibly managed forests, helping to take care of the wildlife who call it home. 

The insulated packaging that the cake boxes are wrapped in are made from wool and are compostable. If your order has an ice pack in it, you can pour the solution down the drain and recycle the plastic bag!

We are more than happy to take back any packaging and re-use it, provided it is as clean as possible.
